BurgerFest Memphis Returns to Tiger Lane This October

Updated: Oct 9, 2018

MEMPHIS, Tenn., September 20, 2018 – BurgerFest Memphis, formerly known as Best Memphis Burger Festival, will take place Saturday, October 27, at Tiger Lane at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium. The event, held from 2-10 p.m., will include a burger bar, various local beers, local, regional and national music acts provided by Goner Records and i96 alternative radio station, and an expanded children’s area.

General admission is $10. Event sampling tickets can be purchased for $20 in advance and $25 at the event, which includes general admission, sampling of three event signature burgers and five beers. VIP tent access, which includes complimentary full bar, food and VIP access, is $50 (only available in advance).

“We’re excited to bring BurgerFest back to Memphis this year,” said Brian Ellsworth, founder and owner of Southwood Entertainment Group, which has taken over the event this year. “It was important for us to continue this tradition for the city, making it an event for everyone to enjoy, filled with delicious burgers and beers from your favorite local establishments.”

Tamara Eddy of Chef Tam's Underground Cafe, and recent winner of Guy's Grocery Games on the Food Network, has crafted six signature burger options, which will be available for tasting.

Ellsworth changed the structure of this year’s event to be slightly different than in years’ past, such as removing the burger competition and adding a kid’s zone with large inflatables. Ellsworth is planning to bring the competition element back in 2019.

A portion of the proceeds from BurgerFest Memphis will go to the Mid-South Food Bank, an organization that focuses on eliminating hunger in the Mid-South, by providing food for families, children and seniors in the area.

Billy Hicks with Event Rentals by Hicks is a partner in the event, and event sponsors include Tim Pomp Mt. Moriah Auto Sales, Jack Pirtle’s Chicken, Huey’s, Goner Records, Hi Tone, Roundhouse Revival and Memphis Health Center.
